Los Angeles, CA — The nonprofit Sundance Institute's Documentary Film Program (DFP) today announced its latest batch of 20 nonfiction films that received grants from the Sundance Institute's Documentary Fund. The Foundation provides non-reimbursed support to literary projects that expand the cultural dialogue of filmmakers with unique voices and visions, break new ground in creativity and innovation, and provide meaningful connections to the work they make.
The fund was started in 2016. A $200,000 grant is awarded to eight to 12 filmmakers each year. The foundation conducts an open call process and awards are announced twice a year. Each grant is one-time only and is awarded in amounts up to $25,000. Due to the large number of submissions, our selection process is very competitive. Our documentary project "The Color of White Cliffs" is eligible for a grant from the Foundation. http://rogovy.org/colors-of-white-rock/
